Man-Chester United.. Personified

Sir Roy Keane... is what he relates himself to... and rightly so!!!!Football buff.. these days busy pumping iron.. and producing "hunk-like" results at that I must say... which for once mind you s not psuedo or a farce or for an unconvincing reason... I have the time of my life shooting the breeze with him.. we share gyan.. gaan and Ofc.. our Surname!!!

Whom I talk about is this bro-like innocent chap.. a friend i made OL (yet again.. from PI@orkut) and someone who never ceases to entertain me.. Our first meeting was outside KFC (only Outside ah!!)and we headed to CCD.. to plan the first Delhi- PI meet... I think our first banter was a great ice-breaker...and there has never been any looking back!

Even though our convos are often full of "Vera enna?" ("What else" in Palakkad tamil) and my "Onnum illai.. apdiye nadakardu" (Nothing else.. all the same) meeting him and spending time is always a lovely experience. There are several reasons for that...

a. He is one of those few people who seem to be absolutely devoid malice.
b. Entertaining.. eventhough our convos are generally quite sensible
c. Very focussed chap
d. Abso clean heart and great clarity of mind
e. Someone who seems to have reverance and respect for his parents beyond compare.

These are some qualities I really appreciate and respect in him. Even though he is a couple of years younger.. there are a number of cues I need to pick from him. What is most amazing is that he stands apart from the crowd.. especially for people his age and fearlessly does so.. Like a true Man.. And trust me .. when he has the sculpts in place.. he truly will be Man-Chester United Personified... Just like the toughie he aims to be.. just as pure hearted is what he is..(Btw on the "Man" prefix.. ur hostel title also suits to this effect!!!)

As for our friendship.. even though i pushed the door instead of pulling it.. I hope i pull the strings in the right direction here.. Cheers!!!

Wake Up Sid... Oops.. Divs...

Well.. the movie came on a day I really got a wake up call.. about me being over emotional about some things.. the inability to let go and the need for a once in a while chalta hai attitude towards certain gestures or experiences... A lesson I perhaps should have learnt by now.. But alas.. Its never too late..

The Movie Wake Up Sid.. is the complete opposite of what I need to learn.. Its about a rich brat learning to focus.. find his calling.. n discovering his Love... Phew.. heavy ah??? the best bit is the movie is not another Lakshya.. I thought lakshya was fabulous.. but KSS was good here.. I loved the charecter Laxmi.. and as someone rightly pointed out.. am quite an amalgamation of both these charecters!!! And am sure people who have been at the receiving end of my affection and brickbats.. will shout "Ayes" at the top of their lungs!!!!

Anyway I thought the movie was well scripted.. the dialogues were good... however.. I donno I thought the end was too rushed.. as though the director wanted to sound the alarm at 2:30 hrs..And I wasnt in the "sentimental fool" mood that I have been in for sometime now to buy it!!!Loved the song Ik tara...Awesome number... it is still ringing in my ears..

However.. I still suggest you go and catch the movie.. if you love mumbai.. the landscapes are awesome.. the Beach, marine drive.. all beautifully captured.. Lovely snaps taken in the course of the movie... I'm going after a Nikon digi cam next!!!

As Wake Up Sid comes on a day.. when perhaps some part of me Woke up... I better Stay Up Divs.....
